Special Ops Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--January 1, 2006--Today Special Ops Security is proud to announce their 1st anniversary. The strategic security and professional services firm, headquartered in Orange County, California, was formed by Erik Pace Birkholz and Steven Andrés on December 30, 2004. Both Birkholz and Andrés previously worked for Foundstone which was later acquired by McAfee in October 2004.

"From the early planning stages in November 2004 until now, just over a 12 months later, it's been a fantastic ride. The company's customer list includes the largest software company in the country, three of the nation's top investment banks, several groups within the U.S. Department of Defense, and critical service providers at the local and state level.

While most statistics provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration indicate a bleak road for new small (and a newly created category, ultra-small) business endeavors, Special Ops Security has enjoyed a successful first year of operations.
